Thank you for your interest in Maara House. Our admissions process is about building a meaningful relationship — giving your family the opportunity to truly experience our school and community, while allowing us to get to know your child and your family.
Choosing the right educational environment is an exciting, and sometimes daunting, decision. Our goal is to guide and support you in finding a learning community that is the best fit for your child and your family, ensuring a smooth and confident start to their journey with us.
Step One: Attend a Parent Q&A/Open day
Parent Q&A sessions are held three times a year and are the perfect opportunity to learn more about Maara House, ask questions, and experience our community firsthand.
If you wish to enrol your child before the end of the year and cannot attend a scheduled session, please get in touch — we’ll be happy to arrange a time that works for you.
Step Two: Submit an Online Application Form
Complete our online application form to formally begin the enrolment process. This helps us understand your child and family before the next steps.
Step Three: Pre-Visit Interview
We’ll arrange a one-on-one interview with parents, giving you the chance to ask questions and share your hopes and expectations for your child’s education. This conversation helps us understand how Maara House can best support your family.
Step Four: Visit Maara House
Your child will spend two days at Maara House, experiencing the school environment, routines, and activities firsthand.
Step Five: Post-Visit Meeting
After the visit, we’ll meet with parents to provide feedback, clarify any questions, and together determine if Maara House is the right fit for your child and family.
The school keeps the basic term dates of the Western Cape Government schools. Please note that in most terms we start a day later to allow for the Maara House staff planning meeting at the beginning of the term.

TUESDAYS OUTDOOR CLASSROOM: 08.30 – 13.00
FRIDAY’S FIELD TRIPS: 08.30-12.30
AFTERCARE: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday until 15.30
