At Maara House, we are redefining what school can be — shifting the focus from teaching to learning.
We see children not as empty vessels to be filled with information, but as capable, curious, and resourceful individuals. Every child arrives with their own ideas, creativity, and ways of making sense of the world — our role is to nurture that natural drive to learn.
Our teachers are thoughtful observers and guides, creating space for learners to explore, question, and develop their own strategies and problem-solving skills at their own pace. Learning here is not about transferring knowledge — it’s about co-constructing it together.
We believe every child has the right to imagine, to wonder, and to create. That’s why curiosity and creativity lie at the heart of everything we do. Our curriculum is interconnected and inspired by emergent, real-world themes — allowing children to see meaning and purpose in their learning.
While our approach is progressive, we work within the national curriculum to ensure that children can confidently integrate into other schools at the end of their primary years, if they choose to.

Learning with joy, not pressure
Education should be a joyful journey of discovery, not a race for results. The pressure on children to perform has stripped much of the wonder and play from learning — often leaving them anxious or disengaged.
At Maara House, we are reclaiming the joy of education. We aim to cultivate a deep love of learning that stays with children long after they leave our classrooms. We believe every child is rich, resilient, and full of potential — they simply need the freedom, space, and encouragement to grow into who they truly are.
At Maara House, we believe that true education happens through connection — between teachers, children, families, and the world around us. Our approach is personal, holistic, and grounded in both heart and evidence.
